Color Throwdown #431 - Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  Look at the bright spring colors in the inspiration photo:

When creating my card, I was inspired by a technique from Jennifer McGuire.  She used the Blooms 'n Buds stamp set from Reverse Confetti and so did I.  She stamped and masked her flowers, so I gave it a try.  It took me a few times to get it right.  

Jennifer turned her panel into a gate fold card  and it was stunning!  You will probably want to take a look.  Click here for her video.

I didn't make a gate fold card, but went a different direction.  After cutting around the bottom of my stamped images, I popped up the panel with foam tape and then adhered it to my purple dotted background.  I love the subtle dimension of that panel.  I might use die cuts of these flowers and leaves the next time I try this...just to switch things up some more!
