Floral Canvas

Hello Monday Friends!

Today's project is actually one that I started back in May.  I was lucky enough to go to the My Favorite Things Annual Retreat in Florida and this project (sort of) was one of our classes.

My original project got a little bit smooshed in my suitcase, so I decided to take off everything and keep the background canvas.  Barbara Anders taught this class and I'll just say this one thing.  The canvas alone without any embellishments on it is pretty enough to display.  She is a remarkable designer and super sweet person.

I kept this project on the back burner while I collected some cream colored flowers and embellishments along with some metal and wooden pieces from my stash.  I also wanted a touch of red on it because there was some light red stenciling on the canvas.  Once I was satisfied with what I had, I just started arranging and hot gluing. And I just love the final design.

I like the fact that I was able to take my project a step further instead of giving up on it when it got smooshed,  I have it displayed in my dining room and it makes me smile EVERY time I look at it.

'til tomorrow!

Susie
