Happy Is He...

Hello Friday Friends!

Earlier this week I entered a challenge, and all of a sudden I found two more that I wanted to enter.  Challenges are fun because sometimes they get your creativity moving in a new direction.  For instance, I would probably NOT have thought to use two shades of purple (or any purple) on a card.  But the challenge this week at Color Throwdown was to use these colors and (oh my goodness) I am thrilled with the result!!  Here is the inspiration photo:

And then I found Word Art Wednesday which is a marvelous site that publishes a scripture or inspirational message every week to be used on a project.  So I downloaded the current PNG file and used it on this card.  This week they had an "anything goes" challenge which made it really easy for my first entry.

I must disclose that I made this card using digital paint. I had just cleaned up my studio and didn't feel like getting all inky, so I didn't pull out my paint stroke stamps and inks.  Instead I just worked on my computer.  I love printing images and making them into cards.  This has two layers with the top layer elevated just a bit.

I hope you like today's card.  There is still time to enter both challenges, so maybe this will be the day you make some lovely art and play along.

I'll be right back here tomorrow with another new project to share with you.

See you then.

Susie

  6. This is so awesome. I love that you found a way of using the free Word Art and I didn't know you used digital paints cause they surely look like the real deal to me. And this is your first time to join us. Welcome to our Challenge. So glad you linked up with us at Word Art Wednesday this week. We are so blessed with your creativity. Love to encourage you with God's Word in 1 John 3:1 which says, "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God." Have an awesome week.
