Did you ever find one of those craft projects at Hobby Lobby that you thought, hmmmm - that looks pretty cool?
I was totally shocked when I came across this craft kit. The completed tree is about 13" tall and is made of printed stars - all cut out with the hole actually already in the center. And the kit was on sale for $2.29.
I just had to stack the stars on the dowel with the gold beads in between. The dowel sits inside a large spool covered with paper. The top star is also ready to go! It took me about 10 minutes.
OK - so this really feels like cheating when you are a crafter....but I went ahead and made it anyway. And THEN it gave me an idea for a real handmade project. So all was not lost!! It's another Christmas project....so it's too late for this year, but if you hang around for another twelve months or so, I'll show you what I am going to make based on this cute tree.
I bet these kits are on sale for even less now. It makes up super cute and you could easily involve your kids! You might want to get it for next year!
