Happy Monday!
As we celebrate Memorial Day, I want to say how thankful I am for those who fought and died to protect our nation. And as a blue star family, we are always mindful of those who currently serve.
Today's mini book was a quick (and I mean QUICK) little project. A friend of a friend asked me to create a book as an end of the year teacher gift. The book is from Maya Road and is totally chipboard. Each page has a two by two picture of one of the teacher's students along with a Bible verse cut and matted in a circle. I didn't think I should show the inside pages since I don't know the kiddos or moms....but each page is built similarly to the cover using a color blocked layout and one scalloped die cut border.
The embellishments are some very old K&Company dimensional stickers and I tied the whole book up with fabric strips. Once I printed the pictures and Bible verses, I had about two hours for assembly until I needed to deliver this book. So when I say quick, that is what I mean.
I got a report back that the mom cried when she got the book to give as a gift. I say that's a winner!
So much for crying and scrapbooking. Come back tomorrow and I'll show you a new card project. See you then.
