Happy Friday!
A little off the regular path today....but I wanted to show you my work flow when I have a large project ahead of me.
I needed to make birth announcements for a friend of mine. Her sweet little boy was born last month.
So here is my secret: I do everything in steps and then assemble the final projects.
So first I designed the tag in Photoshop Elements and then cut out each tag using my craft knife. Next I cut pieces big enough for a matching green mat. My final cutting used a die to make the green reinforcers.
Next I adhered all the tags to the mats and then trimmed around each. Once that was done, on went the reinforcers and then finally (in front of the TV) I tied the little baker's twine to each tag.
So while this project sat out on my table all day - it didn't take hours upon hours of working on it. I just did a little here and there while I got other things done too.
I recommend this method if you have a large task to accomplish. Trimming and assembling in front of a good movie is also one of my tricks!!
I'll be back tomorrow with a fun card I made with Stampendous stamps.
See you then.
Susie
