Soon it will be Thanksgiving and it made me think about all my precious friends who are actually precious treasures to me. And thus the inspiration for today's card.
The star of the card of course is that beautiful sentiment from Joy's Life Stamps. I am blessed to be able to design for Joy. She is one talented stamp designer!!
Everything on this card is actually a scrap of this and a scrap of that. The striped paper actually has that great brown frame printed on it. So the oval die cut was a natural there. As usual, I popped it up on a few layers of chipboard.
Distressing everything (including the scrap of lace) is what makes this card so soft and girly I think. I love the look of shabby chic. I am learning that it is the color and the distressing that makes it vintage and shabby.
