A+ Swimmer

Happy Monday!

Monday at our house means we get to go to our littlest grandson's swimming lessons.

Caleb has excelled at swimming, so I thought I would make him a refrigerator magnet to remind him of all the fun he had at the pool this summer.

He has two more lessons, but I plan to give this to him today after his lesson.

The image is a sweet little one from Lori Boyd.  I paper pieced his hat and swim trunks.  Then I colored the rest with Copic Markers.  I typed the sentiment and printed it on coordinating paper.  All of the papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Wanted Collection.

The dies I used are from Spellbinders.  I used a large circle for the focal image, then cut two mats from the pinked circles.  The one on the very bottom is dark brown.  It is sitting directly on the covered 4" chipboard circle.  Next I added two chipboard circles. Then I added the lighter colored pinked circle.  Finally the focal image went on top.  The chipboard circles give this some dimension.

Because this is a larger piece, I attached four magnets to the back - all ready for placing at 2 year eye-level on the fridge.

Tomorrow I will be back with a scrapbook layout.  Yes - dies are for scrapbooking too!

See you then,

Susie

  1. When I gave this to Caleb after swimming lessons, he said, "It's me. I am a swimmer.". Love it!!
