My Copic Storage
I wanted to show you my current Copic marker storage system. It isn't perfect. As a matter of fact, I have almost outgrown it.
I already outgrew my former system. That system was made up of a marker tower. It was great. I tried to buy a second one, but the company had stopped making them. Ouch. It was a sad day when I realized I wasn't going to be able to expand my system by just duplicating what I already had.
So I was at Michael's a few weeks ago and saw this little metal basket with a handle and bright colored cups. I snatched it up with a 40% off coupon. Then I grabbed a Tim Holtz paper pad and covered the primary colored cups. Eventually, I will ask my hubby to spray paint the basket another color.
And that, my friend, is my CURRENT system. It will probably be relegated for something else soon as my Copic collection grows though. Stay tuned.....maybe I'll have a new storage system soon.
Tomorrow I am going to show you a fun banner that you can make in an evening.
See you then,
Susie

Susie: I am using a more "portable" storage for my 300 plus Copics, the Close To My Heart Acrylic Stamp Organizers, they hold about 150 markers each and have 3 sections in them. When I am using them, I just turn them on their sides so I can see all my caps and they can be decorated and have handles. If I worked mostly in my own craft room instead of travelling to friends, I'd probably invest in one of those nice tall restaurant silverware holders that have the cups in them, I've seen a lot of things online where people have used those. Your idea is cute too!
ReplyDeleteChristy - I looked in the catalog and can't identify the storage you are referring to. Can you take a look at the catalog and tell me what it is called in the book?
ReplyDeleteMany MANY thanks!
Susie-If you are looking at the Spring/Summer 2011 its on page 123 My Acrylic Organizer. It's kind of a clear/frosted plastic with a blue handle. In any other catalog it would still be in the back section under Organization. Like I said it's meant to hold CTMH's Acrylic Stamp Envelopes but it works great for Copics and has 3 dividers built into it already.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh - yes I see that now. I am going on a retreat today with a CTMH gal. So I am going to look at one of hers. I KNOW she has some.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip!
